Insomnia followup

I was lamenting my lack of sleep the other day to a friend, who suggested Rescue Remedy and gave me a bottle to try. I don't believe in magic, and scoffed a little, but I gave it a go and put four drops on my tongue as instructed before I went to bed last night. And I slept quite well. The power of suggestion, placebo, magic?Whatever, I'm just happy to get some sleep.

  1. H.I. swears by Bach's Rescue Remedy, but usually as a palliative for shock. The Queen does too, if that gives you any more encouragement.

Personally, I firmly believe that water has a memory, especially if you have taken a bath in about 30 gallons of it.

Rescue remedy only works for me if I drink about 40 bottles of it, but this may be just the side effects of all the brandy that the few drops of potentated water are suspended in.

  2. People swear by the stuff!
    Other people... not so much.

    But hey - whatever works!
    We have all believed wholeheartedly
    in much "crazier" things!

  3. The power of suggestion has never worked for me when it comes to insomnia. But, whether it was that or the actual product, I'm glad you got a good night's sleep!

  6. I have been having sleep problems recently, probably due to the onset of menopause...finally, at 55.

When I read your post, I thought "what the heck" and sprinkled the four drops on my tongue before bed two nights ago and last night.

First night: got up once, managed to get back to sleep faster than usual.

Last night: didn't wake up once.

Placebo, miracle? Who knows, but I'm taking it again tonight.
