Most of my working life has been spent in libraries, but in my younger days I trained and worked as a nurse. Now I have given up paid employment to cultivate the art of not working, and save my life at the same time. Life isn't always easy, but it's what we've got. Carpe diem!

Good-o!
My favourite nephew, who lives in Australia, paid an unexpected visit this afternoon. It cheered me up immensely. He proudly showed off his tattoo:
I think he was a bit disconcerted to see his dear old auntie looking as if she'd been in a punch-up.
Hope the eye is doing much better soon. Nice job holding off on the wine!
