Most of my working life has been spent in libraries, but in my younger days I trained and worked as a nurse. Now I have given up paid employment to cultivate the art of not working, and save my life at the same time. Life isn't always easy, but it's what we've got. Carpe diem!

Neighbours

One of my neighbours has just dropped by with a bag of lemons and some eggs for me. She is a writer - mainly fantasy but she turns her hand to any genre. I think she's writing a crime novel at the moment because after chatting for a while her parting comment was "Well, must get back to work. I'm just off to kill a 17 year old."

I've occasionally felt like doing that.

  1. Ha Ha. Love it. I do not have kids, but in the past week, I have been extremely annoyed with people who let their kids run wild in stores. So I completely understand too. :-)

  2. Usually it's the 17 year olds who would like to kill us!
