Tomorrow (February 14th) isn't just St Valentine's Day, it's also International Book Giving Day. Give a book to your beloved instead of a bunch of roses!
Though Valentine's Day has never been a particularly big deal in New Zealand, there are quite a few romantics out there. Florists love Valentine's Day, not surprising when the cost of a single red rose can set you back as much as $45. Frankly, I'd rather get an edible bouquet.
A beetroot heart, or a bouquet of peppers! Hot stuff!
Or some bacon roses?

Bacon roses; what a bloody brilliant idea!!!
ReplyDeleteBacon roses!!!! I agree with
ReplyDelete... Cro Magnon. Sometimes my iPad freezes... sigh. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso, HOW did you get that picture onto your blog? I've 'pinned' it, but don't know how to get 'pins' onto my blog...
ReplyDeleteJanet I don't use Pinterest so I don't know either! I just download the graphic I want to use into a file in my PC, and then use Blogger. I imagine Wordpress has something similar?
DeleteOne day I'll make those bacon roses. They're in Tim Ferriss's book aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI love the beetroot!
