Most of my working life has been spent in libraries, but in my younger days I trained and worked as a nurse. Now I have given up paid employment to cultivate the art of not working, and save my life at the same time. Life isn't always easy, but it's what we've got. Carpe diem!

Good news? Maybe!

Look what the weather forecast is for the nearest town, 20 kilometres away. Will the promised rain eventuate? Or will it be like the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow and disappear? We can but wait and hope!

  1. Yes, it worked, thank you, so you can have a rest now. Just a short one, mind! Be prepared to resume when called upon!

  2. Lets hope it's an accurate forecast... and down to 5C at night. Sounds like a taste of autumn.

  3. Hmmm. You have "crocks' of gold? We had "pots" of gold. A "crock of ...." something else I won't mention is what weather forecasts usually turn out to be.

    1. Hah, thank you for pointing that out! As it happens, yesterday's forecast is rapidly turning into a crock, because in this morning's version the promised rain has morphed into mere showers. In tomorrow's it will probably vanish altogether.

  5. I hope you get your rain. We are having fog in the morning here. You are more than welcome to that, if you'd like... (Yeck.) We are supposed to get some rain as well, but it's Oregon, so rain is pretty much normal for this time of year...
