Most of my working life has been spent in libraries, but in my younger days I trained and worked as a nurse. Now I have given up paid employment to cultivate the art of not working, and save my life at the same time. Life isn't always easy, but it's what we've got. Carpe diem!

ReplyDeleteHmmm. You have "crocks' of gold? We had "pots" of gold. A "crock of ...." something else I won't mention is what weather forecasts usually turn out to be.
ReplyDeleteHah, thank you for pointing that out! As it happens, yesterday's forecast is rapidly turning into a crock, because in this morning's version the promised rain has morphed into mere showers. In tomorrow's it will probably vanish altogether.
