Looking on the bright side
This drought is a pain but there is a side benefit in that it's good for my health! I have increased my visits to the swimming pool in the nearest town, where there is no drought, so that I can use their lovely hot showers and save my own tank water. So I'm swimming about 5 times a week, now, and it feels good. It's worth the 40k drive! Who knows, I may even keep it up when it finally rains again and the drought breaks.

40k to your nearest town? You must be even more 'peaceful' than here. Luckily we have our own pool and I can confirm the health benefits. By the end of our swimming season I am always fitter, more 'toned', and definitely healthier. Keep it up.... although it must cost a fortune in petrol. Isn't there a lake nearby; or the sea?
ReplyDelete40k round trip Cro, nearest town is 20k away. The sea is about a 2 hour drive away, where I live is about as far inland as you can get in a long narrow country!
DeleteI should add, that if England look likely to win of the Test Matches, you can guarantee it will rain. Maybe you should arrange for the NZ squad to throw a game!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Judith,
ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for introducing me to the Paleo diet via your blog. That was six weeks and 9 pounds ago.
Also, enjoy your list of authors. We seem to share interests even though we are on opposite sides of the globe. While you looked for rain, we enjoyed a day of sun that melted the snow. Can't wait to see our Spring bulbs popping up along the Erie Canal in New York State.
Sally
Yay Sally! Welcome. Nice to "meet" you. I'm glad Paleo is working for you. Please call again, though I'm not a very assiduous blogger, I'm afraid. Erratic is the word. :)
