Most of my working life has been spent in libraries, but in my younger days I trained and worked as a nurse. Now I have given up paid employment to cultivate the art of not working, and save my life at the same time. Life isn't always easy, but it's what we've got. Carpe diem!

Still dry

I can't bear to do my daily walk around the garden any more, I hate to see so many plants dying. Showers are forecast for today but no sign of them. I'll believe it when I actually feel the raindrops on my skin. I haven't got the heart to take photos though I suppose I should, as a record.

I haven't done any laundry for ages because I don't want to waste my precious tank water. I need to save it for essentials like...oh, coffee and the occasional shower. So I'm getting low on towels, sheets...everything, really. Tomorrow I'm going to investigate the laundromat in town. It's some thirty years at least since I used a laundromat, so that will be a learning curve.  I wonder if you can leave your dirty washing there and have someone do it for you? That would be nice.  Hmm. We shall see.

  3. Oh no! It's scary when it's so dry! I'll try doing a rain dance here but it might come out as snow! xoxoxo

  4. I've tried and tried to comment... Hope this works...
Bring all your laundry here! You can have a long shower and we will drink coffee while the machine does its thing.
The only catch?... You have to take a zucchini/marrow home with you.. XO

    1. LOL, Janet! The only veg in my garden that refuses to die is the damn courgette plant (I only have one but it's super-productive) which is still pumping out giant marrows. It's possessed! I am trying to give them away but people laugh at me. Or run away making the sign of the cross.
