An arty quiz

This is interesting.

Can you tell the difference between a million dollar piece of art and something bought at a yard sale? Take the quiz and find out how discriminating you are. I got 12 right out of 15, better than I thought I would.

  1. 11 out of 15 right. What a joke - who would know? I went to a major art show once and just ended up laughing. My favourite was a ladder in the middle of a space - that was it, a ladder. Not for me :)

    1. A ladder! What else could you do but laugh.

  2. I only got 9 right. Did you notice that the majority of "abstract" art (the kind of stuff someone like me, without any talent whatsoever, could make in my garage) was the big money stuff and the ones that were realistic (i.e. the ones that would actually take some artistic talent) were yard sale quality?

    1. You are so right, Grace. Those crayon scribbles that look like someone learning to write valued at over 2 mill! Madness.

  3. You both did better than me - 10 out of 15

  4. I got 11 right, but it should have been 12 - they wouldn't let me change my mind. It was the obviously crappy Venice scene which I tripped up on (hit the wrong button), but the modern stuff ANTONE could trip up on, so I don't feel too bad.

    1. Antone is not a person, btw (like my art dealer) I meant ANYONE.

    2. Antone is a good name for an art dealer, though!

  5. I'm pleased to say that I got them all right, but I must say that the last one was a guess; it wasn't very clear.
